Based on the core mindfulness principles of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), these courses offer customised content and learning through roles in the school community — as teachers, staff, parents, and students.
.b for Teens is the flagship course designed for 11-18 year olds, delivered over 8-9 weeks in the classroom. It offers a way in to mindfulness that is fun, accessible and of genuine use in daily life.
.b Foundation is for teachers and other adults working with young people in schools.
By putting on ' their own oxygen masks' through a course such as .b Foundations, staff can experience mindfulness and boost their own wellbeing. For some this is also the start of the journey towards being able to teach mindfulness in an embodied, authentic way to pupils.
