Mindfulness helps young people:

o To fulfil their potential and pursue their own goals e.g. be more creative, more relaxed, both academically and personally.
o To improve their concentration and focus, in classes, in exams and tests, on the sports field, when playing games, when paying attention and listening to others.
o To experience greater well-being (e.g. feel happier, calmer, more fulfilled).
o To work with difficult mental states such as depressive, ruminative and anxious thoughts and low moods.
o To cope with the everyday stresses and strains of adolescent life such as exams, relationships, sleep problems, family issues.

For Parents and Carers the benefits are similar and, of course, related to their own different point in life. Undertaking an ad hoc Mindfulness program for them and their children has the additional benefit to establish a common language, a pragmatic life approach, a mindset as o

'THE STORY OF MY LIFE'
This workshop is a development of a very old tradition that will become self-explaining through the empirical approach which participants will be invited to experience. Led through imagery and self-reflection practices to explore elements of each one’s personality and life, this session welcomes everybody. Everyone curious to know more about itself, about meditative practices to develop self-awareness while dealing lovingly with self-criticism.  This workshop is also very suitable for participating together with partners and children over 14 years old of age.

This Autumn we welcome everyone interested to learn or deepening the mat and props Pilates practice on a free taster session.
Pilates is the perfect preparation to foster and maintain a foundational fitness in daily life and any sport practice. The course is open to all level of participants and builds on the Pilates principles of Centering, Concentration, Control, Precision, Breath and Flow.
Each session ends with a 15’ relaxation and that’s why we relate to ‘ XL Session ‘ type.

** Self-Compassion Training for Men                                                                                                                                                                       This course is designed specifically for men—those who consider themselves newcomers or sceptics to mindfulness and self-compassion as well as men who are familiar with mindfulness and want to deepen their understanding and practice. An experiential training intended for men of any background. It is designed primarily for personal growth and development.

Customizations for the work environment are available also as Leadership Program.

Mindfulness helps us to deal with stressful situations by coming back to what’s happening right now. Ok, so you might still be under pressure to get that job done, you may still be stuck in that traffic jam or the weather may be awful - again! But that’s all.

 

This course is structured in 8 sessions (incl. a pre-interview) and 2 follow up’s session.

** Silent Retreat **
Bringing Practice to Life

Exploring the pleasant, unpleasant and neutral feelings that occur when our sense organs (5) and the mind get  in contact with the moment by moment unfolding events in life, any external stimuli, sensed objects and the consciousness associated to them.
This ancient practice, combined with awareness and compassion exercises, will be the theme of a 5 hours workshop where silent practices, reflections and group discussion will build on and refresh the Mindfulness practice and/or inspires participants new to it. All together with a beginner's mind attitude!

This silent retreat takes place at the Dansstudio Andea Meyer-Rogge in Hilversum.

Why Mindfulness?

Mindfulness practice doesn’t get rid of problems – while we’re alive we’ll always have problems – it helps us to change our relationship with them.

Breathworks Mindfulness for Health Course provides you with a wide range of mindfulness skills to ease the suffering associated                     with persistent pain, fatigue and ill health - whatever the cause. There are two key principles which underlie all aspects of mindfulness and run through the Mindfulness for Health courses                                                                                                                                                           -You will learn to live in the present moment and breathe into  your experience, rather than tensing against it                                                         - You will learn to respond rather than react  to our life's circumstances

Mindfulness is explored progressively over the course, gradually building up a rich awareness of yourself, as well as your relationship to others, enabling you to lead a more creative life, even when experiencing long-term pain or illness. The course is open to all on a self-referral basis. So far we have welcomed people with conditions such as: chronic back pain (the majority), arthritis, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, post-operative pain, cancer, nervous disorders, MS, Parkinson's disease, and other non-specific pain. For the current participants of the Breathworks, MSC, MBSR and .b Programme courses and those ones who already attended one. The day unfolds throughout the Mindfulness and Self-Compassion practices mostly in silence. Most of the participants report how highly refreshing physically and mentally such an experience can be and the space created for deep reflections.

 

Participation is 10 euro for those ones who are not participating in any of the current courses.

At a Death Cafe people drink tea, eat cake and discuss death.

Our aim is to increase awareness of death to help people make the most of their (finite) lives. 

To date more than 400 Death Cafes have been held around the world. These never involve agendas, advertising or set conclusions. Interesting conversations are guaranteed!
